Does an upcoming pet surgery have you feeling uneasy?

Bringing a family member in for surgery can be nerve-racking. At Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital, we understand just what you’re going through because we’re pet parents too. Rest assured that we’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that your loved one’s procedure is as stress-free as possible.

Pre-Surgical Care

We begin the surgical process with thorough preoperative screening, which helps reduce the risk of complications for your pet. We’ll also create a safe, effective plan to keep your pet comfortable and pain-free – before, during and following surgery.

Surgery

Whether routine or complex, your pet’s procedure will be our top priority. From the moment you arrive, we’ll be there to ease your mind and help keep your loved one calm and relaxed.

Once safely sedated, our team will perform the surgery as efficiently as possible. As the doctor works, our dedicated support staff will be present at all times, assisting with surgery and closely monitoring your pet’s wellbeing.

After Care

Following surgery, we’ll gently relocate your pet to our recovery area, where our staff will offer comfort and reassurance.

When you arrive to pick up your pet, we’ll explain our aftercare recommendations, including a plan for pain management.

Surgery doesn’t have to be a source of anxiety, especially if you’ve got the experienced team at Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital in your corner. Contact us today and let’s discuss how we can help with all of your companion’s surgical care needs.

Verified Very comfortable with Dr Metzger and his staff. My dog hates car rides do she was stressed when we got there. He walked in with a cap on. She doesn't trust caps so I told him she didn't like tgem and he took it off! He did everything possible to make her comfortable during our visit. I am so pleased that they go out of their way to take the stress away from the pets first visit.

Verified Great first impression. I made an appointment for a meet and greet to establish my dog as a patient. The entire staff I met that morning were friendly and kind. Dr Metzger examined my dog, took his history, and asked questions about his past problems (there are many). They have a Veterinarian that performs acupuncture (impressive). The office is clean. They sell the prescription dog food on premises. I am thankful to have found a caring Veterinarian.

Verified We are very pleased with Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Metzger. He is knowledgeable, thorough, thoughtful and takes the time to explain sometimes complicated problems. We have had many pets over the years, and many veterinarians taking care of them. He is definitely among the best! Also, the staff is friendly and helpful and all seem to truly enjoy their work.

Verified Dr. Trish Brannan has been our Veterinarian exclusively for 17 years. Always reliably professional, available and responsive, along with providing exceptional care for her patients. We really appreciate knowing she is always thorough and very willing to take the time to discuss our concerns and answer any questions we might have. Very much a compassionate Veterinarian we hope to have for another 17 years. Mr. & Mrs. F. J. Fogarty

Verified A friend recommended Compassionate care for my German Shepherd pup, they were so caring and made his first vet visit as quick as possible while allowing me to be with him in the outdoor open treatment area. My pup was given his shot, medicine, weighed and nails clipped without hurting him! Professional staff who made me feel confident that my pup is in good hands for the future!

Verified I have been taking my new dog to see Dr. John and couldn't be happier. I left my other vet because they didn't call me back on two occasions when my very large dog was suffering from a stroke. I was recommend to Dr. John by a friend and have been more than thrilled with his level of expertise and care. They all work together as a team - and Linda the groomer is terrific.
